In Ambient air analysis, the concentration of pollutants in outdoor air is measured for long-term assessment of pollutant levels. The 12 health-based parameters studies by ambient air monitoring are PM10, PM2.5, Sulphur dioxide,and oxides of nitrogen, ozone, carbon monoxide, Ammonia, Lead, Benzene, Arsenic, Nickel and Benzo (a) Pyrene.
The guidelines followed for Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) monitoring are:
- Indoor Air Quality in Commercial and Industrial Buildings as per OSHA
- Indoor Air Pollution (Draft Guidelines) as per CPCB
- ASHRAE standard
The pollutants that are covered in IAQ monitoring are:
